San Jose, CA to Panama Motorcycle Trip
Here are a few photos from our trip across California:
Day 1
Ready to leave on a cold Monday morning
Lunch at a Big Sur restaurant -- still mostly rain free.
Day 2
Ready to leave San Luis Obispo after a good breakfast.
In the moutains east of Santa Maria. Amazingly, still dry.
At the Rock Inn in Lake Hughes for lunch -- now we're wet!

Day 3

Our fifth such closure in 2 days. Three of them (including this one) we rode down
anyway, as there was no other practical route.
This road was really closed. In fact, it was actually washed away by the rain.
Oops! Our first mishap. Richard and the bike were fine, but the bike's windshield was a goner.
Day 5
The border at last! Mexicali on Christmas Eve.
